- "Submitted Work" — notebooks, audit reports, project reports, demonstration recordings and other deliverables submitted by a participant as part of a programme.

2. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an enquiry form, completing enrolment or accessing programme materials, you confirm that:
- — You are at least 18 years of age.
- — You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
- — You have read and understood these Terms and Conditions.
- — You accept these terms on behalf of yourself and not as an agent for any third party unless you have written authority to do so.
3. Programme Description and Availability
Sparsemind offers three online programmes in AI development education, delivered fully online with recorded sessions. Programme details, including duration, weekly workload, content scope and fees, are described on our website. We reserve the right to:
- — Modify programme content between cohorts to reflect current practice.
- — Adjust scheduling with reasonable notice to enrolled participants.
- — Limit enrolment numbers to maintain programme quality.
- — Suspend or discontinue a programme with at least 30 days' notice and a pro-rata refund for fees paid for undelivered programme weeks.
Programmes are accessible to participants worldwide, subject to any payment processing restrictions that may apply in certain jurisdictions.
4. Enrolment and Account Access
- Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of the programme fee and our written confirmation by email.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any login credentials issued to you for the programme platform.
- Access to programme materials is personal and non-transferable. You may not share access with other individuals.
- Enrolment entitles you to access materials and forum support for the programme duration and for at least six months after the programme concludes, as described in our material access policy.
5. Participant Responsibilities
You agree to:
- — Use programme materials solely for your own personal learning and professional development.
- — Submit only your own original work as programme deliverables.
- — Engage with forums and cohort sessions with respect for other participants and instructors.
- — Not reproduce, distribute or publicly share programme materials (notebooks, recordings, datasets) without written permission from Sparsemind.
- — Not attempt to reverse-engineer, copy or replicate programme content for use in a competing educational offering.
- — Not use programme infrastructure for any purpose other than your enrolled programme.
6. Intellectual Property
All programme content — including notebooks, recordings, datasets, written materials and platform design — is the intellectual property of Sparsemind or its licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use programme materials for your own learning during your enrolment period.
Your Submitted Work (notebooks, audit reports, project reports, demonstration recordings) remains your intellectual property. By submitting work for review, you grant Sparsemind a non-exclusive licence to read, assess and store your submitted work for programme administration and quality assurance purposes.
7. Fees and Payment
- Currency: All fees are denominated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM).
- Fees: Mathematics for Practitioners — RM 440; Data-Centric Modelling Track — RM 1,720; Sparse Cohort Capstone — RM 3,790.
- Payment timing: Programme fees are due prior to enrolment confirmation unless a payment arrangement has been agreed in writing.
- Refunds: A full refund is available if you withdraw before the programme start date. After the programme start date, refunds are assessed on a pro-rata basis for undelivered weeks, at our discretion, unless the withdrawal is due to a material failure on our part. No refund is available after 50% of the programme has been delivered.
- Company sponsorship: Where a company is paying on your behalf, we may issue documentation for internal approval processes. The participant remains bound by these Terms.
8. Programme-Specific Terms
- Completion Records: A written record of completion is issued when you have submitted and had reviewed the assessed components for your programme. Completion records describe the scope and assessed work. They do not constitute an academic qualification or professional certification.
- Academic integrity: Submitted work must be your own. Submission of work that is not your own may result in the withdrawal of your enrolment and the cancellation of any issued completion record without refund.
- Capstone scoping: The Sparse Cohort Capstone requires you to scope your project in collaboration with your mentor in the first two weeks. Projects that cannot be scoped appropriately within the programme constraints may be redirected; in exceptional cases, deferral to a future cohort may be offered.
9. Disclaimers
Programme materials are provided for educational purposes only. We do not guarantee:
- — Any specific learning outcome, skill level or employment result from completing a programme.
- — That programme content will be free from errors, though we make reasonable efforts to maintain accuracy.
- — Uninterrupted access to our platform, though we maintain infrastructure with appropriate redundancy.
Nothing in our programme materials constitutes professional advice — legal, financial, medical or otherwise.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law:
- — Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your enrolment shall not exceed the fee you paid for the relevant programme.
- — We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost data or business interruption.

Nothing in this clause limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sparsemind, its instructors and staff from any claim, loss or expense (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of programme materials or your infringement of any third party's rights in connection with your use of our programmes.
12. Termination
- By you: You may withdraw from a programme at any time by notifying us in writing. Refund eligibility is as set out in Section 7.
- By us: We may terminate your access to a programme with immediate effect if you materially breach these Terms, including by sharing access credentials, submitting work that is not your own or disrupting cohort sessions.
- Effect: On termination, your access to programme materials ceases. Sections 6, 9, 10, 11 and 13 survive termination.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Johor, Malaysia.
Before commencing legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us at [email protected]. We will respond within 14 days with a proposed resolution. If informal resolution fails within 30 days, either party may pursue formal proceedings.
14. General Provisions
- Entire agreement: This Agreement, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitutes the entire agreement between you and Sparsemind regarding your use of our programmes.
- Severability: If any provision of this Agreement is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
- Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision at any time does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it subsequently.
- Assignment: You may not assign your rights under this Agreement. We may assign our rights to a successor organisation, with notice to enrolled participants.
- Notices: Notices from us will be sent to the email address you provided at enrolment. Notices to us should be sent to [email protected].
